David Helfenbein leads global communications for Burford Capital, the premier international finance and asset management firm focused on law and a leading innovator in the business of law. Burford manages a group-wide portfolio in excess of $7 billion and is publicly listed on both the New York and London stock exchanges.

Helfenbein brings nearly 20 years of experience advising organizations and individuals on high-stakes, complex communications, including senior roles at leading public relations firms and branding agencies, as well as earlier service in government.

He earned his Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.
